Hi guys and welcome back. I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas break. With the new year fast approaching I thought I'd take a look back through the year and share with you some of my highlights and pictures.
In January I was lucky enough to be taken to London to see my favourite musical Les Miserables in the Queen's theatre. And it was absolutely amazing!
In February me and my boyfriend went to Manchester for valentines weekend which was lovely. We didn't do a lot there, just went shopping and went out for a lovely meal, but it was still a great weekend. I was also taken to Tenerife with university to do some research for my degree. Although this was very stressful, it was nice to go out for a few cocktails in the evenings, and I got to make the most of the sunshine for a week so overall I can't complain!
During march this year we went on a family trip to Dublin which was a lot of fun. We went to all of the typical sight-seeing places like the old prison and Dublin Zoo, which of course was my favourite.
In June my boyfriend took me for a weekend away in Cornwall which I loved. We stayed at a glamping site called Trecombe Lakes near Helston and went to Flambards for the day and also to Falmouth. I loved staying at this site as it was so quiet and there's some lakes and walks around which are lovely. There was also a family of geese walking about with some goslings which were really cute.
During July I undertook a work placement for credit for my degree, which turned out to be a lot of fun, although it was very hard work. I did it at an animal rescue centre called Secret World in Somerset and I enjoyed every minute of it, and definitely learnt a lot.
In August I was so lucky to go to Costa Rica for 2 weeks. The first week I stayed in a gorgeous hotel called the Villa Sol in the Guanacaste region, and it was so lovely. The second week I was staying in Santa Rosa national park whilst doing a research project for university. I also went snorkelling on a coral reef which was incredible, and in the forest I got to see so many wild animals such as howler monkeys, spider monkeys, capuchins, deer and loads of species of lizard and snake. I've got so many photos I could share but I feel it would take up this entire post so I will keep it short, however I may do a whole blog post on it so keep an eye out for that. I will say now though that this trip has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life so far and it will be very hard to top it.
During September me and my boyfriend went back to Cornwall, staying in the same place we did previously as we loved it so much. While we were there we visited Bodmin jail, Paradise park, St Ives and Restormel Castle, and I loved the whole trip. I would recommend Trecombe Lakes if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Cornwall - I love it and definitely want to go back soon!
October is always my favourite month, as it's my birthday month! This year it was my 21st and me and my family went to Longleat safari park which was so much fun. I also love Halloween and, being a student, I went to 3 different parties. Two of them I was a vampire, then for my flat party I dressed as a witch, and it was so good. Halloween is definitely the best holiday.
November was quite a quiet month for me, and the only event I attended was a fireworks display in a local racecourse. Now I will admit I am very scared of fireworks and anything that has a loud bang, so my boyfriend was very shocked when I suggested we go. But I managed to stay and watch which was a big achievement! And I actually had a good night.
It's Christmas! I've had a fairly quiet one this year, but still a very good one nonetheless. I hope you all have too! I just want to say a big thankyou to all my readers and followers for the support I've received since starting my blog, and I'll be back in the new year hopefully with more and better content.
Until next time.
