Hi everyone and welcome back. I first off want to apologise for the lack of posts recently, I've been away for two weeks! Secondly I want to apologise for the state of some of the products in the photos - they are well loved and well used so are not going to be pristine and will have hit pan! Anyway, lets get started.
Firstly I start off with a primer. At the moment I'm using the Rimmel lasting finish primer around my T- zone as this is good for controlling shine, and then I use the revolution strobe cream on my cheeks and top of my forehead. I then go in with my foundation. I'm loving the Borjouis healthy mix foundation, I think it gives a nice natural coverage but still hides my problem areas well without being too thick. It also smells so good!
Next I use the Nyx concealer under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes I have at the time, again giving a good coverage and blending well without looking cakey. Then I use the Nyx loose powder, which I tend to put all over my face as I hate feeling sticky with foundation.
I then go in with a bit of contour (well I try to anyway). I'm using the Mua contour kit, which I will admit the bottom colour is a bit too dark for me, but it blends out really well. I like to use the darker colour as a base, blend it in and go on top with the more shimmery brown.
Next I highlight my cheekbones with the Freedom highlight powder. This is a very subtle highlight that doesn't leave big clumps or lines of glitter on your face. I then use the Nyx blusher on the apples of my cheeks which again is very subtle.
Next up is eyeshaddow. I do tend to switch up my eyeshaddow but I always come back to my trusty naked 3 palette. I use 3 or 4 shades on a day to day basis, mixing 2 lighter shades as a base and then going in on the crease with a mix of darker shades. If I want a slightly heavier look I add an even darker shade to my crease.
A cat eye is always a must in my everyday routine, I can't go without it. I use the Nyx mousse eyeliner pot with an angled brush and I find this is a much easier way to create the look than a pen. However it does tend to imprint on my upper lid/browbrone throughout the day.
I always fill in my eyebrows and I'm surprisingly loving the Primark eyebrow powder, again with an angled brush just filling in the areas that are abit sparse. Next up I'm using the Rimmel super curler mascara. This isn't clumpy whatsoever - unless you put loads of coats on - and I think makes my lashes look a lot thicker and volumous.
Lastly is lipstick, and at the moment my favourite is the Nyx soft matte lip cream in the shade Abu Dhabi, which is the most amazing liquid lipstick I've tried! I highly recommend it. It feels so silky and isn't drying at all.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing what makeup I use on a daily basis, let me know what's in your everyday routine and any recommendations.
Until next time
