Hello everyone and welcome back! I'm constantly discovering and trying out different products, so my makeup routine tends to change and I thought I'd share with you my current makeup routine and face of the day.
To start with I use the NYX pore filler all over my face, but targeting it more on my chin, forehead and around my nose as these are the parts I feel need 'filling in' the most. This is a silicone primer so feels quite weird as you rub it in, but I think it does work in creating a smooth base. I then go over this with a brightening primer. I'm currently using a sample of the Benefit 'that gal' primer which I really love.
At the moment I'm trying out the MUA pro-base correction palette to help hide dark circles and redness. Now this is a take or leave product for me, I don't love it but I don't hate it. I think it does slightly help improve redness but it's not majorly noticeable results, and once my foundation's on my base doesn't look much different to when I don't use it.
The foundation I'm using at the moment is a new discovery and I really like it. It's the L'Oréal true match foundation, which I blend in using (a very grubby looking) Real Techniques sponge that I also recently discovered. This creates a really nice base that doesn't look really patchy or cakey.
I then - surprise surprise - use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the lightest shade under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes. This, for me, is the best concealer out there. I powder all over my face using the Technic soft focus loose powder in the white shade. I use white instead of a translucent peachy colour as I find they can make me look abit orange and cakey, whereas, as I have pale skin, the white one is completely translucent and stops any shine without going orange.
For contour I actually prefer a warm toned shade, so I use the Rimmel sun shimmer bronzer in the shade medium matte.. I go onto the apples of my cheeks with this NYX baked blush which is a really subtle pink and nothing too over the top.
For highlight, I'm currently using my new I Heart Makeup heart shaped highlighter in the shade 'Goddess of love'. This is such a gorgeous highlighter which isn't too subtle but subtle enough to not be too much, and the packaging is gorgeous.
For eyeshadow I use the Revolution Fortune Favours the Brave palette, taking the light brown shade all over my lid, and the darker brown shade into my crease and under my lower lash line to add some depth. I also take a bit of my highlighter and put it in my inner corners. This is a really basic eyeshadow combination for an everyday look, I don't want to go OTT.
I then use the L'Oréal Superliner liquid eyeliner to create a small flick on my lids. This is by far my favourite eyeliner so far - it stays on all day and is the easiest one to use.
For lashes I'm using the Benefit They're Real mascara as a base as it is running out, paired with the Benefit Bad Gal lash mascara over the top. This combo creates a lot of volume in my lashes without going too spidery.
On my eyebrows I'm using the darkest powder shade in the NYX eyebrow set, which helps create the look of fuller brows without looking like I have a lot of product in them.
I then used the Barry M matte me up liquid lipstick in the shade minimalist which I absolutely adore!
And that's everything I do for my everyday makeup. A very simple look for day to day life. Let me know what products you're using at the moment, and I'll be back soon with a new post. Make sure you're following my Instagram
