Hello everyone! I've seen a lot of people do these 'top products' posts recently so I thought I would join in! Here's my top 5 favourite foundations. These are in no order, just a top 5. I think I like them all the same for different things.
First on my list is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. This is a bit controversial as I know a lot of people really don't like this. But I do! Although I don't like the palest shade 010 as I think it loses a bit of coverage as it gets lighter, but I love this as a 'fake tan' shade. I used the shade 103 when I'm tanned and I love it. It makes me look super glowy and healthy, and makes me look more alive. This one does however look slightly oily at the end of my working day, but I overall I think it's great.
Next up is the Bourjois healthy mix foundation. I use this when I want a more natural looking foundation, because although it has great coverage, I think it makes my skin look very fresh and natural, and not too heavy and cakey. The pale shade of this is perfect and doesn't lose coverage.
My 3rd favourite foundation is the Max factor lasting performance foundation, which is my favourite foundation for when I'm super pale. Again, it doesn't lose coverage, it doesn't go oily and it doesn't look cakey. It does, however, have a habit of going a funny white colour around my nose after a few hours. I'm not sure why this is, maybe it reacts with my moisturiser? I'm not sure. But it only does it on those areas not all over my face. And it blends back in, so it's not a huge deal. I would say, and you might argue, but this is a very similar formula to the Fenty Beauty matte foundation, which I'll get onto in a bit.
Sticking with max factor, and again a foundation that I love when I'm mid-tan (when it's starting to fade) is the Max Factor skin harmony foundation. I bought this on a whim because it was on offer and I fancied trying it, and I'm glad I did! I really enjoy using this foundation. It's similar to the Wake MeUp foundation in terms of coverage and formula, just without the glittery face! Again it doesn't go oily or dry, and I really like it.
My last favourite foundation is the Fenty Beauty matte foundation. This is perfect, I honestly really love it. And I managed to get the right colour for me on the first try, (Online) which is a bonus! The only downside to this isn't the price, as I think it's worth it, but I refuse to pay the £6 postage for one item! If I had a store near me it would be better, but I'd have to get it online and for me £6 is a lot, considering I could buy another fave foundation for the postage cost alone. The foundation itself is amazing. For a matte foundation, it's not drying at all and stays on so well throughout a day at work.
And that's my top 5 foundations! Let me know what your faves are and any you recommend! Have you tried any of these? If so what do you think of them? Let me know!
Until next time.
