A look inside my makeup bag - part 1, base products

I am a sucker for seeing people's makeup stash! I love seeing what everyone's currently using and what products they always use without fail. I was recently struggling to close my makeup bag, and I suddenly had a thought - why not tip out my everyday makeup bag and see what is actually in there? I literally tipped it out and sorted it into categories, and here is what it contained:

Foundations and concealers:

I currently have 2 foundations in my makeup bag - the rest are in a separate bag - as I'm currently mixing them together. I have the Fenty Beauty matte foundation and the Max Factor healthy skin harmony foundation. I seem to have an abundance of concealers in there at the moment! Goodness knows why, but I seem to have 2 of the Borjois radiance reveal - both in the same colour I mght add - and 3, yes 3, of the Collection lasting perfection concealers!

Powders and highlighters:

There are currently 2 powders in my bag. The first is my MUA loose powder, and the second is …

3 DIY face masks!

I recently wrote a blog posts all about making your own hair masks, so I thought why not share some DIY face mask recipes with you. Here are 3 of my favourites:

The banana face mask  This face mask claims to brighten skin as well as sooth it, and it works best on oily skin.
You will need: 1 banana, preferably ripe 2 tbsp honey1 tsp lemon or orange juice
Mash up the banana, then mix in the honey. Add the juice of the lemon or orange. Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing off.

Cocoa Dream Hydration Mask
"Avocado is extremely hydrating, cocoa is an excellent skin-soothing antioxidant, and honey is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory," says Holly Monson, spa manager at Ocean Pearl Spa in California.
You will need: 1/4 of an avocado1tbsp cocoa powder1tbsp honey Mash the avocado in a bowl, then mix in the cocoa powder and the honey. Apply to the face and leave on for 10 minutes before washing off with warm water.

Celebrating with Bakerdays

As some of you may know, my boyfriend and I recently celebrated our 'anniversary' (although we're not married), and Bakerdays kindly sent us a letterbox cake for the occasion. I thought this would be the perfect time to tell you all about their company!

There are so many different sized cakes to choose from, depending on your budget or occasion. You can choose from cupcakes, letterbox cakes, small, medium and large. You then choose your design and there are literally hundreds to pick from for every occasion you can think of!
You can then pick which flavour you'd like. They do:
traditional spongechocolate chip red velvetlemon drizzlegluten and wheat free traditional spongedairy free spongefruit cake with jamhalf and half chocolate and spongehalf and half vanilla and chocolate
They also personalise the icing with names or your own writing to make it that extra bit special. These cakes are delicious, take it from me - I recently demolished one and it was so good!

A weekend away in Cornwall with BlueChipHolidays

Me and My boyfriend absolutely love Cornwall, and we're always planning trips down there. We decided to have a trip there a couple of weekends ago. We had used Blue Chip Holidays on a previous trip, so we used them again to find the most amazing place to stay. We stayed in Stonerush Lakes, which are a set of lodges with hot tubs on the decking. There are all different views to chose from, but we chose lake view which had a gorgeous view out over the lake. Here's what we got up to over the weekend:

We travelled down to Cornwall from Somerset on the Friday, going shopping in Exeter on The way down to kill some time. As we couldn't check in until 4, we weren't in a hurry to get there so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to have a mooch around the shops. After a very eventful journey of ending up in a village the car barely fit through (the sat nav didn't recognise the address!) we ended up at Stonerush Valley. We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us…

Current homeware and stationary wishlist!

Hi everyone! I feel like I haven't done a wish list in so long, so I thought I'd share with you guys what's on my current homeware and stationary wish list.

I feel like Primark have really upped their game recently, especially their homeware range. How cute is this Mrs. Potts teapot? She's amazing and she's only £12. Sticking with Disney, I really like this Mini Mouse neck pillow, and for £6 you cant really go wrong!

I love this cushion, and I think it would make a lovely addition to my outdoor seating area. For only £7 each I will definitely be getting more than one of these! This mug is also on my list. It's a really pretty pattern, and is very 'blogger' looking (haha). It's £2 so a very good price.

I am such a lover of stationary! Especially planners. So when I saw these on the Old English Company website, they went straight on my list. The first one is this notebook planner for £11.95, and the other is this weekly wall planner which is £7.95.

My current 3 favourite perfumes

Does anyone else find that when you wear the same perfume all the time, you start to not be able to smell it anymore? I recently found this, so I decided to mix up the perfume I was wearing each week.

It's safe to say I have a lot of perfumes, some of them needing to be used up, and some of them brand new. I have wittled down my top 3 favourites, in no particular order, and thought I would share them with you today.

Number 1.

My first favourite perfume, and one that I will always repurchase, is the Ariana Grande sweet like candy perfume. This one is so sweet, but in a good way, and I will never tire of it.

Number 2.

My next favourite is the River Island Tokyo perfume. This one is more of a 'grown up' scent compared to the Ariana one. It's really nice and not very pricey either which is always a bonus!

Number 3.

My last favourite perfume is the Next just pink perfume, which is so so nice! Again it's more of a grown up scent, but still fruity and sweet.

Until next t…

3 DIY hair masks!

Hi everyone! Today I thought I'd do something a bit different and try some homemade hair masks out! I found these 3 online and I will leave a link to the posts/sites they came from.

1. Avocado and egg yolk

This one looked so interesting! I'd never thought of putting eggs or avocado on my hair so I was intrigued to see how this one turned out.

I didn't however want to use eggs as I thought it would be such a waste, so I just used the avocado on dry hair for 15-20 minutes. I then washed and dried my hair as normal.

My hair felt really soft and repaired afterwards!
2. Honey and olive oil

You will need:

- 4tbsp of honey
- 6tbsp of olive oil

Mix this together and leave it on your hair for 15-30 minutes, then wash and dry as usual.

3. Coconut oil

This one is by far the simplest, and in my opinion, most effective. I use this all the time on my hair and I find it gives great results for dry hair. All I do is take a very large scoop of solid coconut oil and rub it into the ends of my hair…
